Russian Folk Art by Natalia Silva
|
Natalia Silva is a Russian freelance art director and a graphic designer, now living in San Francisco. She designed in 2014 a pack of cards about the Russian folk art. All cards illustrate the Russian folklore with simple flat design, vector graphics and few colours (red and green). The result is close to traditional Russian packs from the 80s where different scenes are added around the pip signs. Jakes, Queens and Kings are inspired by the Matryoshka (the Russian nesting doll). Since this successful project, she designed some more packs and the last one is a second edition of the Russian folk art with new illustrations but keeping the same style. A collector's edition (75 packs only), taking artworks from both regular packs, has been made with more colours on black background.
