Mongolian playing cards
I don't know much about this pack of cards. The box does not match exactly the cards but the same logo appears on the box and on the back of the cards. This logo may be the old one of the Khan Bank. In the box, the brand name “Bandi” is used. It may come from Toroi Bandi, the “Robin Hood” of Mongolia. The cards themselves are very interesting. The court cards are certainly famous Mongol persons. English indices are used and specific Mongol numbers are added in pip cards from 4 to 10. In those cards, the suit signs have been replaced by knuckle bones. These remind us that the sheep bone games were very popular in Mongolia.
