“Tokyo Ghoul:re” playing cards by Ishida Sui
I discovered on Internet that “Tokyo Ghoul” is a popular dark fantasy manga (Japanese comics) written by Ishida Sui (石田 スイ) from 2011 to 2014. This is is a tragic story about Ken Kaneki, a college student who becomes a half-ghoul. The sequel, “Tokyo Ghoul:re”, is still ongoing and it topped The New York Times Best Seller list in 2015. In December 2015, Ishida designed a pack of 55 playing cards where each card has a drawing of one of the Tokyo Ghoul characters. The 1st edition was given as a Special Prize via lottery to readers that purchased the first two volumes of Tokyo Ghoul:re. A 2nd edition with three different jokers had been published for the Jump Festival. Note there are at least seven different packs about “Tokyo Ghoul”, some from the anime series.
