Animal Totem tarot by Llewellyn
I have selected this new tarot designed by Eugene Smith and Leeza Robertson because I like the way the artist manages to arrange the traditional suit symbols around animals from around the world in their natural (and sometimes not so natural) habitats. I'm just wondering why there are so many human artefacts in those forest. The 347-page companion book said nothing about this point. Eugene Smith had chosen a stylised look like in comic books, with heavy outlines. As far as I know, the animals are depicted accurately with just a hint of anthropomorphism to help the card reading.
