“72 names” by Kabbalah Insights
The numerous titles for God have been a source of debate among biblical scholars. One of them is a sequence of 72 triads of letters all of which are derived from permutations on Exodus 14:19-21. In the 19th century, the 72 names of God were a source for the occult tarot and was further fleshed out in the Golden Dawn's book. But here we are looking for something completely different. Orna Ben-Shoshan (אורנה בן- שושן), the creator of the cards presented here, has been an autodidact artist for the past 30 years. Her artwork was exhibited in numerous locations in the USA, Europe and Israel. Samples can be found on her web site (www.ben-shoshan.com). Studying the mystical works of the universe helped her to understand her own artwork. It took several years of contemplation and exertion until she came to the conclusion that she should create her own set of cards and incorporate the messages from her paintings with Kabbalistic symbols.
