Woman's hour
|
Woman's in hour is a magazine programme broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It was first broadcast in 1946 and to celebrate their 50th anniversary, Jenni Muray asked David Westnedge Ltd to publish a pack of cards with 54 illustrations of famous women chosen by the Woman's hour team. The aces features the greatest women like Simone de Beauvoir or queen Elisabeth 1. The kings are the four leading stateswomen of 1996, i.e. Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir and Benazir Bhutto. Note that Woman's hour still celebrates, informs and entertains women every weekdays at 10am and every Saturdays at 4pm.
