The Coat of Arms Project by Jamm Pakd
Jamm Pakd Cards published last year three packs of 54 cards about heraldry. Justin Froyd got the inspiration from his parents family crest. J. Gonzo, a freelance illustrator, designed all the cards. Only the figures and the aces are fully illustrated and the suit signs have been subtly rearranged in the pip cards. Alas, the illustrations are the same for the three packs but the colour scheme (limited to few colours per pack). The artist decided to choose the suit sign to create new coats of arms with various shapes and mantling. Kings and queens have of course a crown and the jack has just an helmet. The original pack is “Coat of arms”. “Bronze age” is quite monochrome and “Dark age” is a limited edition of 1000 packs with gold and red metallic inks.
