Aluettes alchimiques
The “Aluettes alchimiques” was first a set of 65x92 cm acrylic paintings done by Marcel Marionneau (www.davidgatier.com/levolumecourbe/jeudevache.htm). This French game played in Vendée and in the coasts of Brittany uses 48 cards with the Spanish pattern and some cards have typical illustrations related to the game. Marcel Marionneau decided to give them an occult touch. Here the 2 of cup is Hermes and the horsewoman of coin is a link between the unconscious and consciousness. Eric and Linda Péroux asked him to publish the set as a real pack of cards. The artist kindly accepted, photographies were taken by Philippe Cossais and 200 packs were printed.
