The Dutch I.P.C.S. members welcome you with an exciting programme intended for every sort of playing card enthusiast, for the beginning or experienced collector, the researcher or the card player and for their partners/guests. The programme will include everything you expect plus a few non-traditional activities like a live exhibition of Dutch Playing Cards and a live auction.
This year lectures will be spread over two days and are designed to be interesting, short and highly visual. During the Conference, there will be three trading sessions and two games sessions. Except for the gala dinner on Saturday everything will take place at the same location, the carefully selected Convention hotel in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, close to the airport, railway station and A4 motorway.
If you would like to see more of the Netherlands, why not stay for a few more days. As you will read in the separate 2008 Convention brochure, Dutch members are happy to take you on a discovery tour. The Convention hotel is perfectly located to explore the country. A free shuttle service takes you in a few minutes to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. From there, one can go by train to Amsterdam, Haarlem, Utrecht, Leiden, Den Haag, Delft and Rotterdam. In short, this is a real opportunity to make this I.P.C.S. Congress into a complete Dutch holiday.
